Book Review: The Real Anthony Fauci (and Is ignorance bliss?)

Hiya,

Thanks for joining me for this Book Review podcast, which I was wondering how best to present.

The first thing I ask, at the start of the podcast is whether “ignorance is bliss” and at the end I finish with what I think about ignorance being bliss’.

The author of the book I am talking on today, who comes from a very well known US family (his uncle was President JFK and his father was a former US Attorney General).

Robert Kennedy Jnr was once the darling of the talk shows, environmentalists, liberals, and most people in general, as he (as a lawyer) was taking to court industries and regulating bodies that were poisoning the waterways in the USA with toxic heavy metals like mercury. People loved him and knew he cared about the people – just like President JFK.

However, he was then approached by a number of concerned citizens about potential harmful ingredients in vaccines, and suddenly, he was no longer a darling, but a conspirator. It seems he poked the wrong bear. 😉

I am a HUGE fan of LEARNING, and learning requires us to quest for knowledge. And quest for knowledge from different sources and different people. And with over 2000 references & footnotes, and the input of hundreds of doctors, scientists and researchers, this is a very well presented (and yes very revealing) source of knowledge and potential wisdom.

Do check it out, and then make up your own mind about what you want to believe and perceived.
It turns out…ignorance is NOT bliss. 😉

A (Common) Impediment to Owning Your Power

I start off the podcast being a little non politically correct and tell you what I really think about the elephant in the room, which has disrupted a lot of peoples power (in my observation).

I talk about the ‘problem’ as I see it, and then ways we can work to build up our personal power, which is needed more than ever in this crazy, unstable world we live in.

Guided Meditation: Relax and Release (That Which does not Serve You)

Today’s episode is one of my favourites, as I love helping you with the inner work. Creating peace, harmony, and joy from the inside out.

When we do the inner work it changes our perception and interrelationship with the outside world and everything in it. If we see through a different lens of perception, we see a different worldview. One that causes us to feel awe, wonder, and love for life.

Today’s guided meditation is a bit over 20 mins long, and is focused on relaxing and releasing anything and everything that no longer serves you.

You will feel lighter and brighter after this meditation, but don’t take my work for it, see for yourself.

Love, Fear, Beauty and Dumb Arse

I hope you are having a great day.

In today’s episode I was inspired by my morning bicycle ride through the rice fields and villages of Bali.

I was paying attention to the connection, interaction and feelings I was experiencing as I saw and interacted with different Indonesian people on my ride.

I was also reflecting on bank robbers and pearly whites.

Then there were thoughts about the relationship between love and fear and the physiological experiences of both – especially as it related to the brain and mind.

So as I journeyed through the rice fields in Bali, so too do I journey through love, fear, beauty and dumb-arse in this podcast.

I also mentioned a great teacher in the form of Dr Zack Bush, so check out some of his teaching too.

How to Create Sustainability and Avoid Overwhelm

In today’s episode of the Life Masterclass podcast, I talk on a couple of subjects which came up in a recent Coaching Session with one of my awesome clients.

And because the topic came up in that session, and I figured it was relevant to a lot of people, I wanted to share it with you.

We talked about the idea of sustainability when it comes to this game called ‘life’. And how life is not a sprint, but more like an ultra marathon. Given that, the strategies we use in life need to reflect the format of the race we are in. It just makes sense to see it like that, and respond accordingly.

From the conversation on sustainability I move into another very relevant topic and that is about how to avoid getting into a state of overwhelm.

I finish up with a VERY practical tool I use for myself and my clients to help them avoid overwhelm and establish a sustainable, enjoyable, and fulfilling life.

Guided Meditation – Choosing Freedom

Every 4 weeks I record a guided meditation with a different theme to it.

The benefit of a guided meditation is that it allows a deeper conversation to land without (or with less) interference from the critical and analytical mind.

When you get very relaxed you are more open to receiving the messages that are key for your growth and evolution. They also wake up a part of you that has access to a deeper level of wisdom and knowing.

Essential Success Strategy: When to Say YES and How to Say No

noKnowing when to say YES and when to say NO is not only essential to the Richard Branson’s and Warren Buffet’s of the world, but is HUGELY important for each and every one of us.

In this episode of The Happiness Class we not only look out how best to make the decisions for a YES or NO, but I talk about ‘why’ we might have a challenge saying ‘No’ and what to do about this.

In my experience, as much fun as the movie ‘Yes Man’ with Jim Carrey is, it is often the things we don’t say ‘No’ too, that have the biggest impact on our lives. That is because for most of us, it is easier to say yes than to say no, especially to the personal stuff. We are more worried of upsetting the other person than protecting our precious time on this planet.

So this Happiness Class is a must for us all.

My Insane Breakthrough from A 28 year Old Limiting Belief

militaryIn this Happiness Class I will tell you about a shameful and humiliating event that happened to me 28 years ago, that has affected me in subtle ways ever since. Not only that – but what limiting belief I associated with the event that has been a thorn in my side every since.

I will also share with you how I dealt with that event (with a series of techniques) that made me feel as if the world bent itself around me. It is like a fear I have carried for years, and have had to work hard on, has just disappeared. I feel like a new me.

The event I share happened to me in the first year I was in the Army at Australian Defence Force Academy. It might come as a bit of a shock to all the guys I know from my service days to hear about the impact this event had on me, as I always maintained a brave face. Plus I believe I have been quite successful, regardless.

So if you want to hear Carl Massy as his most open and most vulnerable self, then you are going to want to hear this.

I will also be sharing with you the book I read, and the process I used to make such a life-changing shift.

The book was ‘Code to Joy’ by Dr Pratt, Dr Lambrou & Dr Mann.
Now as with every book (mine included), the real magic doesn’t come from reading a book, it comes from taking action on the information.

Relationship Coaching: Dealing with Separation

heart breakTalking about relationships can be a challenge when you are talking about the good stuff.

Even harder when you are talking about when relationships come to an end, or the love dries up. In the last few weeks (and over the last few years) I have worked with a number of individuals and couples that are having relationship challenges, or are trying to work their way out of one, and want to get out the other side in one piece, plus in a much better space. The possibility is always there to learn and grow, but it does take some work and often it is bumpy ride to get there.

Overwhelm: A Specific Strategy for Overcoming It
