How to Improve the Most Important Thing We Do – Breathing!!


I was thinking that this month instead of a guided meditation, I would talk about one of the most important things we can do for our physical and mental health.

It is (obviously) BREATHING.

But here is the thing. Most people are crap at it. They are lucky to access about 10-20% of the oxygen available to them because of their breathing techniques.

In this podcast I talk a bit about breathing in general – what reduces it and improves it – plus I teach you the 3-Part Full Yogic Breath.

Listen, even as a reminder, and knowing that if you increase your OXYGEN by 20%, it will give you up to 20% more ENERGY. A total WIN-WIN situation.

Talking Yoga: The 4 Essential Elements for a Complete (and effective) Yoga Practice

A complete yoga practice

Let’s talk yoga.

I started practicing yoga in 1999 (back in the 1900’s ;-)), and have done lots of classes and yoga retreats over that time. Plus I was a co-owner of a Yoga Centre in Bali called The Practice, for 5 years. So it is definitely a big part of my life.

Just yesterday I was asked by someone – given the years I have practiced – if I can do all the ‘advanced’ and difficult postures. I said ‘no’ and that is not really what yoga is all about.

Hence I felt compelled to share with you what I perceive is the most effective practice of yoga, and what I often called the “Original Science of Happiness“.

Conversation (Part 2): Talking Health, Healing and Optimizing with Sharon Cavanaugh

This month in Conversations with Carl, I teamed up for Part 2 of my conversation with Sharon Cavanaugh, who is a coaching colleague of mine currently based in Florida, USA.

One of the main things I wanted to talk about was her experience at a Dr Joe Dispenza Advanced workshop. I actually wrote a blog post on one of the insights that Dr Joe shared about ‘over-trying‘ and ‘over-surrendering‘. I called it Two Common Mistakes When Manifesting Desires.

We also spoke more about meditation – why it is so impactful and how to create a lasting practice.

Conversations with Carl: Talking Meditation & other Healing Modalities with Coach Sharon Cavanaugh


For this months ‘Conversation with Carl’ I reached out to a Coaching colleague of mine – Sharon Cavanaugh – and suggested we record a Podcast where we share all the different modalities we use on ourselves and our clients when it comes to the WELLNESS thing. 

I first met Sharon in Bali when I was one of the owners of a yoga centre called ‘The Practice‘, and both of us have attended a couple of Dr Joe Dispenza Retreats, so we share our own experiences of doing his work and the results we have personally experienced or witness at the events.

Then we get into all of the other modalities we have worked with and gathered over our personal development journeys (mine started in 1999!).

We talk EFT, the Sedona Method, Biofield Tuning, different meditation technologies and teachers, plus a bit of Dr David Hawkins and even some Wim Hof.

Guided Meditation – Taking in Light, Love, Abundance and Healing Energy (and letting go)


Welcome to this months Guided Meditation, where we get to prime your subconscious mind to draw in the good/empowering/uplifting and letting go of the bad/disempowering/clutter.

In this meditation we connect to the intention (and priming of the subconscious mind) to be open to receiving LIGHT, LOVE, ABUNDANCE and HEALING ENERGY, on the in breath. 

Then we add to the meditation the ‘letting go‘ of anything that no longer serves us on the out breath – both physical and non-physical, also what is known and not known.

In a nutshell: You will be breathing in goodness, breathing out stuff we no longer need.

What a great message to embed in the subconscious mind!

This week, we are in Sage Week of the Become a Natural SuperHuman workshop, so I thought I would talk a little bit on what it means to draw forth your inner SAGE.   

Too often we limit out decision making and navigation in life to what our head is telling us. Which can often take us off track – especially when it comes to longer term things like your destiny, mission, purpose or dharmic path. You need to tap into something deeper to see and sense the bigger picture.

This is what I mean about getting out of your head.
You need to go deeper – into your heart and into your deeper being.

Epigenetics 101 – You Have the Power


So I was talking with a new colleague the other day and they were telling me a story about how they might actually ‘have’ ADHD, on account of a friend telling them they had some of the symptoms. And what came to mind to me as I was having the conversation, was that he might benefit from hearing a little bit more about the subject of…EPIGENETICS. 

It was time to learn who was really in control of our genetic destiny. 
It was time to learn just how powerful we really are.

The Letting Go Technique by Dr David Hawkins


Hopefully you have already heard me talk about the awesomeness of Dr David Hawkins, when I spoke about his outstanding book – Power Versus Force – which is one of my favourite and most impactful books of all times. If you haven’t watched that Podcast episode, check it out. 

Well the hits just keep on coming!

Another one of his truly amazing and life changing books is called ‘Letting Go’ and in it he shares the Letting Go technique, plus a whole lot of other great information about emotions, consciousness and how we can truly evolve. 

In this podcast I read from his book where he outlines the mechanisms for the technique. And I highly recommend you do yourself a huge favour and read the whole book.
