A Powerful Antidote to Fear

I am recording this podcast at the end of April 2020, while we are still somewhere on the path of the corona virus experience. I am hopeful that we are well past the half way mark and in the home straight of getting back to life, work and reconnecting with people in a physical way.

I recorded this podcast on this topic, as I was recently with a colleague that had experienced a high level of fear around this experience, which I compared to my own experience. I have rarely felt any fear over this experience (my concerns are about what choices I get to make in the future when it comes to my health and well-being, based on what I have studied and written about over the last 20 years – a subject for later).

So in this podcast I talk about one antidote to fear that I think not only deals with fear, but builds up wisdom, and therefore an even better ability to make good choices in the future.

I also talk about things I have learned through my study and practice of hypnotherapy, so you can become more aware of what might be happening at a ‘subconscious’ level.

When we deeply connect with and pay attention to our breath it really has the power to move us. It connects us to something bigger than ourselves and really grounds us in the present moment. In addition it does wonderful for managing the nervous system, and helping you influence your autonomic nervous system.

When to Flick the Fear Button or Consciousness Button

One of my favourite topics and the topic of my next book is the subject of decision making. I am a firm believer in the quality of your decisions impacting the quality of your life and your destiny.

It makes so much sense.

So in this Podcast I wanted to look at two different pathways, that have their place, in different situations.

In some cases the fear switch is highly effective, but in other situations if you don’t flick the consciousness switch, your ability to come up with the most creative, innovative and effective solutions will be sabotaged.

In the podcast I tell you how to activate the consciousness response, when dealing with more complex (and not immediate life threatening) situations or longer-term personal crisis.

How to Tap into Your Powerful Inner Guidance System

The Power of Discernment (in Challenging Times)

I use the word Discernment a lot when I am with my Coaching Clients. Google dictionary calls it:

‘The ability to judge well.’

The ability to make great judgements, and great choices is a game changer, especially when we are faced with so much information, misinformation, and disinformation in this ‘Information Age’.

It becomes EVEN MORE important in any uncertain, challenging or stressful times.

In this Episode I talk about the things you need to be aware of to enhance your discernment and what to be wary of.

More discernment = better choices = awesome DESTINY.

How to Enhance the Healing Process within Your Body

One of my favourite subjects in life is how to create optimum health in our bodies, so we are more vibrant, radiant, energized and as a result able to do big things in our life.

It is hard to achieve big things in life – to achieve our biggest goals or desires – if we don’t have the energy, health or vibrancy to do it.

I wrote ‘The Guidebook to Optimum Health’ to take a deep dive at what things are most effective in creating optimum health for us all. And part of that exploration was the acknowledgment that exercise and good nutrition alone are not enough.

The field of psychoneuroimmunology also acknowledges that our psychological state can have an impact on our immune system and therefore our overall health.

So this podcast is about a simple action we can take to enhance the innate healing abilities of our very intelligent bodies (which have been learning and evolving for 1000’s and 1000’s of years).

How One Limiting Belief Can Sabotage Your Success

limitingIn this podcast I delve into the subject of Limiting Beliefs (also called stories, internal dialogue, repetitive thoughts, etc.) as it applies to my own relationship with increasing my ‘success’.

I realised recently that I had a belief about SUCCESS that was actually making me want to avoid the idea of more success, not because it is categorically bad, but because my STORY made it to.

I also wanted to let you know that I have been working on this stuff for 20 years, but I still get caught up in internal dialogues that don’t serve me. So never feel bad or ashamed for the crap that is playing around in your head – just acknowledge it and learn and grow from the experience.

Guided Meditation – Choosing Freedom

Every 4 weeks I record a guided meditation with a different theme to it.

The benefit of a guided meditation is that it allows a deeper conversation to land without (or with less) interference from the critical and analytical mind.

When you get very relaxed you are more open to receiving the messages that are key for your growth and evolution. They also wake up a part of you that has access to a deeper level of wisdom and knowing.
