So I recorded this podcast on 19 March 2020, which is somewhat in the middle of the Corona Virus experience we are impacted by globally.
It is an interesting time to be recording a podcast, about well-being, and doing it in a sensitive way, but is also life affirming and supportive and from my perspective – practical.
I have looked at what are some of the positive by-products of this experience and I talk about something I have been studying and working towards before the corona virus situation. And that is getting clear about what is really ESSENTIAL.
It is often when people are in a crisis, or facing a crisis – life a health scare – that they start to get really clear about what is ESSENTIAL in their life.
This is the topic I explored briefly in this podcast.

Today’s podcast episode is the first of a monthly offering which I am called ‘Self-Coaching Strategies’. These strategies are simple things that you can apply into your day and life that will cause you to get new (and of course better!!) results in your life.
This first self-coaching offering is about realising that the way we look at something, the way that we perceive it, or the lens of perception we are looking through creates a certain internal experience. Different lenses give us a different experience, such as joy, frustration, awe, annoyance, etc.
So with this simple strategy it takes from experiencing a heavy sense of being, to a much lighter and playful sense of being. Does feeling lighter sound like something you would want more of?

There is a hard way and a much easier way to create positive change in your life. I was recently asked in a seminar if our personalities are fixed. It was as a result of telling everyone that if we wanted to radically change our results from a health perspective we not only needed to change our lifestyles, but we needed to change our ‘personalities’.
So the question was asked: “Can we change our personalities?”
Well I am here to tell you that we can. This podcast is about what we need to do to change our personalities and I use the example of how someone who has a ‘shy personality’ can become someone that has a ‘confident personality’.
If we are a different person than of course we will get different results. But how do we take theory into practice? Well you will have to listen to find out how. Just know for now that it is definitely possible.

As 2014 ended and 2015 started, I experienced my own feelings of complacency for various reasons. I found it hard to break the inertia and to create momentum, so I could achieve the big goals I had set for 2015.
It also made me want to understand this idea of complacency. Wjat are its drivers. What are the consequences? What is the price you pay? And HOW do you deal with it.
How do you break that inertia and create some real, sustainable momentum?

This comes up time and time again with my clients. And it seriously holds them back – plus causes an avalanche of negative feelings.
