Just the other day I was watching Clint Eastwood’s movie Unforgiven (a movie which is actually quite deep, as opposed to just a shoot-em-up Western), and hence the heading of this article.
The title also lends itself to a reasonable exploration of this topic.
A topic, I believe if we master, can change our lives.
If done, and done well.
As with many things.
Energy in = energy out.
I think we are all pretty aware that if we want something big or transformative in our lives, it very rarely requires little to no work.
Possible, but rare.
Let’s look at a more reliable practice to help you get (exactly) what you want.
The GOOD
We are creative beings.
We are also sort of like magicians, in that we can create things just through the power of our minds.
We have been made in a way where if we hold our attention and intention on a particular thought or idea, we actually start to influence the unified quantum field, and cause “waves of possibility” to collapse into “physical particles of actuality”.
Our minds are powerful and potent.
We actually can create, and draw towards us, that which we focus our mind on, and connect our hearts to.
At our disposal is an unconscious part of our brain, and its collective senses (which go beyond the five acknowledged senses), which draws millions of pieces of information out of the field, in order to help manifest that which we most desire – and which we hold clearly in our mind.
In summary, we are friggin awesome at making things manifest.
The BAD
There are a few things to highlight here.
First thing to note is that none of us are bad, or broken, or without vast potential (and we are all pretty awesome, as noted above).
Unfortunately, the brain and mind have been created in a way where the unconscious parts do not take direct verbal orders from the conscious mind.
That is, you cannot consciously tell (in words), what you want the unconscious brain to focus on achieving.
It no does the talky-talky thing. 🙂
It works best on CLEAR visual images, with an ELEVATED emotional state, while holding the vision in mind.
The next “bad” thing, is that the unconscious part of the brain – which supports the manifestation process – does not judge the merits of the things you hold in mind, or emotionally connect to.
It will work to deliver to you, whatever you hold in your mind and heart, REGARDLESS of whether it is of benefit to you (or even bad for you).
All of this to say that the downside of being so awesome at manifesting is that the unconscious mind does not judge what you spend your time focused on or ruminating about.
So, if you spend a lot of mind and emotional time visualising and feeling something you DO NOT WANT, the chances are relatively high you will pull that thing (which you do not want) closer to you.
Damn it!!
The UGLY
Just for the record, I am not a fan of going into the UGLY realm either.
I would just as soon skip this bit, and finish on a high.
But wishing something not to be the reality of what it is, is not how we expand our potential and our outcomes.
The ugly part – in relation to this conversation and is also my personal belief – is we have been taught (or somewhat conditioned to believe) that we are not as powerful as we actually are.
We have been generally taught we need someone or something (e.g. institutions) ABOVE US, in order for us to thrive (or even survive).
This could include teachers, parents, experts, preachers, churches, governments, politicians, bureaucrats, and anything else that has positioned itself as some sort of “authority”.
We subsequently play much smaller than I believe our potential to be.
I believe a fully evolved, singular human being – which we all have the potential within us – has no need of a higher authority to grant us permission (directly or implied) for us to step into our True GREATNESS.
Pure LIGHT and LOVE and without limits.
When I see someone walking on a beach in Bali, wearing a face mask, it saddens me.
I KNOW that person is SO much more POWERFUL than they have been led to believe.
They struggle to thrive, or tap into their full potential, because they have been led to believe (by some source of “authority”) that breathing air is a potential threat to their wellness.
So, the “UGLY” (IMHO) is anything or anyone who has convinced us that we are not TRULY POWERFUL, and that we don’t have incredible untapped potential in our bodies and spirit.
Make sense?
The Primary Messages
The way this information changes our life is in a few ways:
1. We need to tap into the true nature of our being, which is pure GREATNESS.
2. We are really good at manifesting the things we most desire, when we focus on them (head), and connect emotionally to them (heart).
3. Do not focus your mind and emotions on things YOU DO NOT WANT.
4. Audit your language internally and externally, to ensure your LANGUAGE is also focused on what you do want (and not what you don’t).
5. At a very human level don’t place any authority above you, unless it is of a spiritual nature, and unconditionally loving, kind, and supportive in nature.
6. Own your power.
In Summary
Today’s summary is actually above you, including this singular message and reiteration.
You are WAY more POWERFUL than you have been led to believe.
You can overcome all obstacles in your way – real or imagined.
You can feel joy when the world around you is in tatters.
You are loved by life – truly and deeply – just the way you are.
My Parting Words
I have said mostly what I want to say.
I guess the key message is about how powerful you are, when you truly bring your mind and heart into alignment.
I do believe there is a divine spark in us all, which makes us more than what we see in flesh and blood.
It might be hard to find at times; but it is there.
And I also think we have the power to figure out any sh#t we may be facing in our lives.
We were made that way.
We were made to be GREAT.
As I would say in yogic terms “Our Dharma is Greatness”.
The end. 😉
Have a remarkable day and week as you truly flex the power, which is in you and all around you.
Take care.
