Those fitness bunnies amongst may have started to think gluteus or trapezoidal or hamstrings as you narrow down the search for the greatest muscle in your body. Which sort of contradicts the picture of the little guy on the left. But there is another muscle that provides us with much greater strength than all of the other muscles put together. This muscle allows us to oppose entire empires and even to connect with a billion people. This muscle is of course the heart.
We live in a material world. A world of things. Lots of things. And in order to get those things we need to think harder, work harder, push harder and go faster. Or so we think. ‘Think’ being the optimum word here. We are very much in a thinking world. And I get to see that first hand with a lot of the clients that I work with. All of them are successful, driven, high achievers. Most of their body’s energy (or life force, chi, prana) is revolving around their heads. They use the words ‘I think’ on a regular basis. And with all of that energy around their heads, they have very little energy lower in their bodies, which can also affected your sense of being grounded.
Now it is when we start to use the prefix ‘I feel’ (as opposed to ‘I think’) then we really start tapping into the power of the heart. You see, it is the heart that is the biggest electromagnet in the body. It is the organ that projects vibrational intention to the world. For those of you that relate to manifestation and the law of attraction, know that it is the intention and vibration that comes from the heart that is the power in bringing what you want into your world. The greatest communicators on the planet communicate from the heart. And if you want the greatest results from people, communicating from and through the heart will give you your greatest results.
‘Communicate from the heart’. Seems like a very worthy comment. But I am sure you are wondering just how the heck one actually communicates from the heart??? First of all you need to just take your attention out of your head and feel the latent energy around the heart. Take your attention to your chest. As you breathe and your chest expands, imagine that your heart is expanding too. Thus filling the heart with energy and life force. Then imagine that the energy lower in your stomach (from your bottom three chakra’s) is also filling up your heart. This almost makes you tingle.
Unfortunately (imagine this as the disclaimer) to get the greatest result out of using the heart you also need to communicate with INTEGRITY. Bugger!! Hence this method does not work as effectively for card sharks. So if you start a sentence off with ‘I feel…’ and then speak with integrity, you will be communicating from the heart and the results that you get from people will be remarkably different. You will also find that you will be able to look people in the eyes more, as you communicate this way. This will lead to even better communications.
Now I have heard of a saying that indicates that the ‘quality of our lives is related to the quality of our relationships’. As opposed to the quality of the physical things that we have purchased through using our very smart mind. Unfortunately the joy that we get from our physical things eventually fades. But our relationships are constantly evolving, changing, growing and provide us a constant source of entertainment, variety and chance to look into the mirror! The heart is definitely the best muscle to use in all relationships (and relationship challenges…).
So there you go. The biggest (and most effective) muscle in the body is the HEART. Use it or lose it!
Keep it pumping and keep it real.
